On Saturday at dusk there is a very emotional and meaningful ceremony which involves lighting of luminary candles around the undiminished walking track. Each candle has the name of someone who is fighting the battle with cancer or a benefactor or loved one who lost their courageous fight. All of the candles are lit at one time and then everyone in attending walks around the track in a moment of silence. This special point in time honors all of our friends and relatives who have been affected by cancer. It also serves as an impressive reminder that we have to continue every effort to finding a cure and by supporting these endow-raising events we can provide additional funds for fact-finding.Fireworks displays planned around lakes area
The sounds of "oohs" and "ahhs" are accurate to fill the night sky in the coming days and weeks, as "chrysanthemums" and "shooting stars" repudiate over lakes and golf courses in the annual celebration of our domain's independence.The skies over the lakes area will be illuminated with vivid and dazzling colors, and the air filled with explosive and exciting blasts, as close communities and organizations celebrate the July 4 holiday with fireworks displays.
The following is a schedule of fireworks events scheduled in western Oakland County. Readers should keep in recall that many fireworks displays are private and intended only for club or connection members. In many instances, parking is very limited. Those who park vehicles or set up chairs and blankets along compass roadways and private streets to view private fireworks may be ticketed.

A buyers fireworks display will be held at Camp Dearborn day one at dusk on Saturday, July 3.
WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP
The Pine Lake Territory Club will hold its private fireworks display at dusk on Saturday, July 3.
A fireworks splendour will be held over Union Lake beginning at dusk on Saturday, July 3.
