Farmer's market attracts residents, students
From June to November, Locust Boulevard hosts local vendors gathered under white tents every Tuesday and Friday to deal in fresh produce and hand-made crafts.

Chuck Roeschen and Karen Rath, vendors from Riversburg, Pa., ambitiousness 30 miles to Locust Street with carvings, candles, and clothing in tow.
"We decidedly got some looks," Roeschen said, referring to the chainsaw-crafted wood carvings, designed to correspond to mushrooms, dragons and octopi he had strapped to his car roof for the sit on.
While they said students will often purchase the salt candles to decorate their bathrooms and kitchens, Roeschen's and Rath's earliest customers are middle-aged State College locals who say the products seem fads dating back to the 1960s and 1970s.
Kimberly Holm, a sell vendor from Lemont, sells a host of fresh breads alongside lunch entrees and desserts representing a brand of different ethnic backgrounds.
Middle Eastern salads sit next to Cuban vicious bean enchiladas and Greek spanakopita shares a columnar list with a classic staple: the chocolate chip cookie.
Zucchini and cheese bread, sourdough cheddar rolls and loaves of rye and milk-white breads are baked Tuesday and Friday mornings and sold by up-to-date afternoon.
