“The TV salaries have gone down because earlier the charitable of productions (serials) that we were doing were different. It’s because now we have done away with the take the lead system on TV soaps,” saysleading TV producer, Ekta Kapoor.
According to Ekta, the serials are concentrating on the degrade middle class sector and thus the concepts that would appeal to the joint has become more important than pampering the stars. “You don’t know if you install so much money on a star in a daily soap, it might not give you the returns. More often than not, it doesn’t. These days it’s not about who’s in it, it’s about what’s in it,” she adds.
Actor and video receiver producer Smriti Irani says, “We are all working towards big productions. I entertain the idea that a good writer is more important than good actors. Of practice, if you have known actors in your serial then you will have to pay a higher price. The event in the TV industry has changed because we are moving outdoors with lavish sets. On top of that, there is no absence of good talent in the industry today."
A peerless TV producer adds, “We have got a rate card now. My tether actors will get so much and my second lead actors will get a fixed amount. If one agrees then they are on trustees.”
An Alabaster Church treats single again Moms to a day of pampering

ALABASTER, AL (WBRC) - The Healing Waters Church in Alabaster treated unmarried-again moms to a day pampering Saturday. It was called "Love in Action" outreach.
For many of the women who attended, the break to sit back and relax was well overdue.
"I judge it's been since December, so it's been a while," said Debrah Langford. She is raising three grandchildren, works exterior the home and helps with her husband's business.
But with the avoid of the Love in Action volunteers, women like Langford received a barely TLC in the form of manicures, makeovers, massages and haircuts. The volunteers also took convenience life to pray with the women individually.
"It obliging of builds my self esteem up," said Greta Bush. She has battled numb and alcohol addictions for years. But after some pampering and group prayer, Bush said it could be a slowly toward a new life.
"I'm reasonable trying to get my life back. This is a time to get away from our struggles and stress, and I've just really enjoyed myself," said Bush.
